Getting to Mancora

+How to get to Mancora from Lima by Air?
  Approx 2 hrs flight time.To get to Mancora from Lima you have various travel options. All will involve an element of overland travel. There are 3 airports within close proximity to Mancora: Talara, Tumbes and Piura (listed regarding proximity). See www.peruvianairlines.pe;  www.lanperu.com. From the airport you will need to catch a taxi or a cobi-van. We can arrange a pickup for you. 

+How to get to Mancora from Lima overland?
Approx 18  hours travel time. Buses offer a safe and comfortable cheaper alternative to Air travel. Approx Price:  First Class (recline to bed): 160 soles Standard: 120 soles. Dinner and breakfast  included. Note: During Peruvian public holidays the prices increase.We recommend the following bus agents:OLTURSA (Departs daily at 16:00. Arrives in Mancora at 9am) CRUZ DEL SUR ( Departs daily at 15:00. Arrives in Mancora at 8:30am).

+How to get to Mancora from Guayaquil?
Approx 8- 10 hours travel time. The main airport is Jose Joaquin Olmedo International Airport (The airport is situated 5km from downtown. Taxi costs approx US$8 to the Bus Terminal. We recommend the following bus agencies CIFA international or Ormeño Internacional.Please be aware that you will be crossing borders. At Immigration we advise strongly against
exchanging Money.

+What documents do I need to supply to Volunteer?
You must provide a CV and a personal reference to volunteer in our programme.

+What is the minimum time I can volunteer for?
The minimum volunteer duration is 2 weeks. You can volunteer for longer.

+Why do volunteers pay to volunteer?
100% of your volunteer money goes to the charity. We like to think of it as a donation that helps ensure the continuation of our charity in Mancora. This pays for our teachers, food for the children and stationary. No non-peruvian staff gets paid for their work on Robin Hood.  

+Do Robin Hood Volunteers get a discount?
 Full-time Robin Hood volunteers receive a 25% discount off Spanish Courses. This is to say thank you for helping us. All other full-time volunteers in Mancora receive 15% discount. 

About Learning Spanish

+Is my study material included?
All your study guide material is included in the cost. You only have to bring yourself, and your notebook along. 

+Can I pay by Visa?
Currently we do not take visa payments. This is something we look forward to doing in the future.

+Can I get a discount for studying for a long period?
We offer 15% discount for students wanting to study longer than 4 weeks with us and pay in advance.
